The summer holidays are a key time for students to get work experience and, according to LifeSkills Youth Barometer research, 78% of young people would turn to their parents for careers advice.
Life Skills Portal has created a new site dedicated to parents and it contains a number of handy tools and tips.
The site gives parents:
- A range of tools, from identifying a young person’s strengths to discovering different career ideas
- Help with finding work experience – and then making the most of it
- Tips on writing the perfect cover letter, guiding young people to our CV Builder and teaching them to think about how they come across online to an employer
We would like to encourage all parents to visit the site in a spare moment. The portal has also got a separate section dedicated to student.
